Clarifying the Vision | Nehemiah
Joe Casiglia   -

“…Jesus is the HEAD of the Church, His body…” – The Apostle Paul

This means Jesus is the BRAINS of the Church.

What BREAKS your HEART?

What do you DO next?

Nehemiah 2:9-20 (pg. 752)

v.12: “I set our during the NIGHT with a few men. I had NOT TOLD anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem.”

v.16: “The officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing because as of yet, I had SAID NOTHING to the Jews or the priests or nobles or officials or any others who would be doing the work.”

Once you begin TALKING about what it is that God has put in your heart to do, you open yourself up for CRITICISM.

At the right time, God will give you the OPPORTUNITY to talk PUBLICLY.

v.17 “Then I said to them, You see the TROUBLE we are in, Jerusalem lies in ruins and its gates have been burned with fire. Come let US REBUILD the walls of Jerusalem and we will no longer be a DISGRACE.”

Clarity often comes AFTER obedience, not BEFORE it.

TRUST is the essence of FAITH.

v.18: “I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king said to me. And they replied, let US rise up and REBUILD. So THEY began this good work.”

Jesus expects His followers to be OUTWARD-FACING people.

People who come together because they have embraced

Jesus’ VISION for our world and His MISSION in our world.

“The Son of Man came to SEEK and to save the LOST.” (Luke 19:10)

“To MAKE DISCIPLES of all people, baptizing them in the name of the Father, an/d the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19
