Easter Sunday | Holy Week 2026
John 11:1-44, 1 Corinthians 15:20-23
Easter is not religious, because religion is what grows in the gap of MYSTERY.
If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, life’s greatest MYSTERY would remain UNEXPLAINED.
Theories about what happens when people die:
- The soul is IMMORTAL.
- They join HADES.
- GOOD souls become stars.
- Everyone goes to SHEOL.
JESUS of Nazareth.
“I tell you something GREATER than the Temple is here.” – Matthew 12:6
“Father, forgive THEM, for they do not know what they are doing.” – Luke 23:34
Jesus validated His claim to be able to forgive sin, by REVERSING the CONSEQUENCES of sin.
John 11:1-44 pg. 1,668
v.20: “When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to MEET Him.”
v.21: “Lord, Martha said to Jesus, IF You had been here, my brother would NOT have DIED.”
v.23: “Jesus said to her, Your brother will RISE again.”
Jesus staged this event to VALIDATE the reality of RESURRECTION.
v.25: “I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE. The person who TRUSTS IN Me will live, even though they die.”
v.26: “And WHOEVER lives, by TRUSTING IN Me, will never DIE. Do you BELIEVE this?”
Jesus REVERSED the ultimate CONSEQUENCE of sin, death.
Jesus death ERASED our sin and His resurrection illustrates our FUTURE.

“Yes Jesus, I BELIEVE You are the SAVIOR, the Son of God who has come into the world.” – John 11:27
