Trust Him in the Meantime | Core Christianity
1 John 4:7-8, Luke 18:1-8, John 5:22, 12:47
Here’s something we’ve all thought:
- Why doesn’t God DO SOMETHING about that?
- WHY do we assume if there is a God, God must be GOOD and JUST?
- Someone TOLD us that.
1 John 4:7-8 (pg. 1,902)
v.7: “Dear friends, let us LOVE one another, for love comes from GOD. EVERYONE who loves has been BORN of God, and knows God.”
v.8: “Whoever does not LOVE does not KNOW God, because God is love.”
There is a way to get rid of all the INJUSTICE in the world.
Rid the world of GOD.
Does the God of Jesus have a SOLUTION to injustice?
Jesus brought us God is LOVE. But that’s NOT ALL He brought.
“Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted ALL JUDGEMENT to the SON.” – John 5:22
“For I did not come to JUDGE the world, but to SAVE the world.” – John 12:47
God, in His infinite Grace: BEFORE He chose to JUDGE, He provided a way to SAVE.
“And will not God bring about JUSTICE for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?” – Luke 18:7
“I tell you, He will see to it that they get justice and quickly. HOWEVER, when the Son of Man comes, will He find FAITH on the earth?” – Luke 18:8
If you embrace Jesus, you get dignity NOW and justice LATER.
Forth Core Belief: Jesus promises JUSTICE in the end, and He asks His followers to TRUST Him in the meantime.
