Core Christianity

Did you know that the word "Christianity" is only written in the Bible three times? The term was originally used by those who didn't follow Jesus to describe those who did. Some people even suggest that it was used as an insult meaning, "Little Christs," mocking people for trying to imitate Jesus.

Eventually Christians began to embrace the label because "becoming like Jesus" is exactly what following Jesus is all about. Just like in the first century, our culture may not always think positive thoughts when they hear the word, "Christian.” But when they come to see how good and beautiful the story of Jesus really is, they'll want nothing more than for it to be true.

In this series, we’ll be looking at seven teachings of Jesus that, according to Jesus, are core beliefs for following Jesus.
