It’s easy to MISUNDERSTAND the BIBLE if you don’t understand The STORY in the Bible.
It’s the story of REDEMPTION and you are the REDEEMED.
It’s also easy to misunderstand the Bible, if you don’t understand the HISTORY of the Bible
After Jesus rose from the dead, suddenly there was interest in DOCUMENTING the life, the words, and the activity of Jesus.
“We did not follow CLEVERLY INVENTED stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were EYEWITNESSES of his majesty.”
                                                                                                            2 Peter 1:16
 
People began DOCUMENTING the LIFE of Jesus because the STORY of Jesus didn’t END on a Roman cross.

v.1 “MANY have undertaken to draw up an ACCOUNT of the THINGS that have been FULFILLED among us.
 
v.2 “Just as they were HANDED DOWN to us by those who from the first, were EYEWITNESSES and servants of the word.
 
v.3 “Therefore since I myself have CAREFULLY INVESTIGATED everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the CERTAINTY of the things you have been taught.
 
From the very beginning followers of Jesus have always considered Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to be accurate and reliable, because of WHO wrote them and WHEN they were written.
We have a RELIABLE collection of historical documents, written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses, that are not only RELIABLE but also ACCURATE.
In August of  70 A.D. ancient Judaism CEASED to exist.
CHRISTIANITY was born the day that Jesus, the Christ, walked out of a tomb, ALIVE after he’d been DEAD.
