Ash Wednesday | At the Table with Jesus
“The son of man came eating and drinking” – Luke 7:34
We can learn a lot from the conversations and people Jesus EATS with.
Luke 11:37-54
v.38: This was not about HYGIENE.
v.39-41: You are cleaning yourself up on the OUTSIDE only.
We are happy to pay lip SERVICE to Jesus while keeping our allegiances to things that have nothing to do with Jesus.
v.42-ff: Jesus doesn’t hold back from what the RELIGIOUS need to hear.
“Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
You are DEAD on the inside.

Ash Wednesday is an opportunity to repent. To confess the places where we are dying inside and look to Jesus.
