Helping Hands Action Group assists eligible hardship victims who need a helping hand. They focus on private programs that work directly with individuals one-on-one. Our goal is to provide financial and emotional support to our needy families across America. We are devoted to serving the families most in immediate need. We address the gaps in the government support to address critical needs facing our families through our Everyday Needs Program. CFPB is a resource promoting and making available how state and local organizations are a good place to start when you are looking for help paying your rent. You can search the internet and find resources they list on their website for rental assistance in your town or city, your county, and your state or your Tribal area.
Erin Park
Erin Park features 52 high quality, duplex style, one, two and three bedroom homes with a community building for residents. All 52 homes will be long term rentals, with the opportunity to purchase after 15 years. 25 of the homes are Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) units, with a project based voucher and additional supportive services. The community is located off of Dale Ave., in Eastpointe. Occupancy began in early 2021. Erin Park offers multiple amenities including, a community space, 2 playgrounds and onsite support staff. There are nearby community amenities such as public transportation, grocery stores, places of worship, recreational spaces and healthcare facilities.

National Institute on Aging
NIA provides free publications about aging, caregiving, and age-related dementias for the public and health professionals to order and download, including the helpful and popular Caregiver’s Handbook, which is for anyone who provides care for family members or friends who need help with daily living. The Power and Control Wheel helps to describe the abuse those in domestic violence relationships experience. This wheel can help to identify abusive behavior and identify what unhealthy relationships might look like. The Equality Wheel offers an alternative to power and control. If you lay the equality wheel over the Power and Control Wheel, you’ll see they are corresponding opposites.

Veterans Aid
Determining eligibility isn’t always easy and each case is ultimately decided by the VA. Veterans Aid offers the general guidelines to help you decide whether to apply for Aid and Attendance:
Veterans who served on active duty for at least 90 consecutive days, including at least one full day during a time of war, may be eligible for Aid and Attendance if they also qualify for the basic Veterans Pension and meet the clinical and financial requirements.
Service in a combat zone is not a requirement. Widowed spouses of eligible veterans may also qualify if they meet the clinical and income requirements and have not remarried.
