2008 Couples' Retreat

Faith’s Couples’ Retreat will inspire and equip you to grow in your marriage and your relationship with God. Revitalize and rekindle your marriage! Become energized and enlightened! Relax, have fun and develop new friendships with other couples!

Theme:
Friday Evening . . . we will explore how God reveals Himself through creation, His Word, and Christ Himself. By gaining insight in knowing who He is and rediscovering how He values us, we are freed to “relax” and enjoy a growing, intimate relationship with Him.

Saturday Morning . . . we will discuss how intimacy flourishes in an environment where spouses feel emotionally safe. This session will address the following questions:

• What leads to an unsafe atmosphere?
• How do you create a relationship that fosters emotional safety?
• What does intimacy really look like in marriage?

Saturday Afternoon . . . we will deal with the secrets to stay on course and the struggles that face the ‘time starved’ marriage.

Registration
Sign up in the Gym after all weekend worship services between November 25th and January 13th. Registration fee: $100.00 per couple due at time of registration (includes retreat materials, Saturday breakfast and lunch and Sunday brunch.

Couples must make their own room reservations (every room must be connected to a name) directly with the Valley Plaza Resort (1.800.825.2700). Call Monday-Friday 8:00am—5:00pm. When making your reservation, identify yourself as a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Troy Retreat, Group “FLC”, in order to receive the special group rate of $81.50 (plus tax) per night. A limited number of room upgrades are available at a rate of $92 per night (plus tax). Reserve early if you desire a room upgrade. Fees are due at checkout.

Accommodations
The Valley Plaza Resort provides a number of extra amenities for your enjoyment. Three theme restaurants, bowling, billiards, indoor putt-putt golf, twin movie theaters, indoor pools, saunas, and whirlpools offer hours of fun-filled “get-away” time for you and your spouse.
