What if I want to join Faith Impact, but I don't have any skills to help others?
This answer is best summed up by reading the Scripture verse upon which this ministry is anchored - I Peter 4:10. In a nut shell, God's truth is that EVERY BELIEVER is blessed with gifts (abilities) to help and serve others. God's desire is that we manage them well. In other words, "GO USE THEM!" Rest assured, you have gifts that can help someone else in their time of need. It might be cleaning a house, mowing a lawn, cooking a meal, fixing a car, repairing a roof, etc., etc., etc. Whatever it is, just know that you can make a difference in the lives of others.
I might know of someone in need - can I contact Faith Impact to see if this person qualifies for help?
The only requirement is that the individual is truly in need (i.e. disability, illness, elderly, shut-in, short-term financial crisis, etc.) The goal of this ministry is to help people manage through a short-term crisis.
What if the person isn't a member of Faith Lutheran Church, can he/she still look to Faith Impact for help?
Whether an individual is a member of Faith or another church, a Christian or non-Christian, Faith Impact is designed to help people who are in need...period...end of sentence. So, if someone is in a short-term crisis, perhaps Faith Impact can help.
